DEEP SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTISE

Proven track record as a practicing e-commerce business operator for 5 years prior to leading product and partnerships teams at Meta, TikTok, and Linktree.

Selected Work Experience:

Oversight across Meta’s Shops, with primary responsibility for leading cross-functional teams that build third-party shopping solutions for the Family of Apps (Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp). Currently spearheading full roll out of Meta Business Extensions 2.0; transitioned 60+ commerce partners last year from version 1.0, generating $180M in partner-enabled revenue.

Oversaw activation of what was at the time Linktree’s biggest partnership, Linktree X Shopify, a new omnichannel shopping plugin for creators to sell directly on their Linktree profile. Launched Linktree Marketplace, an app store of third-party products and new features including Storefront, Gifting, and Digital Collectibles.

Built the (first) online retailer for men’s clothing, made in Africa. I launched the first version of the website with a single in-house designer and a third-party development team. My work brought me close to hundreds of small, independent clothing labels in West and Southern Africa, where I helped many of them bridge the digital gap by selling online for the first time.*

*Heritage Circle peaked at 200,000 page views per month.

Before working in tech, I worked in investment banking.

I began my career at Credit Suisse in New York and subsequently joined Renaissance Group in Russia and later in Nigeria. I primarily worked on financing M&A transactions in Sub Saharan Africa.

Thereafter, I took up a role in New York in the Financial Sponsors Group at Citigroup, where I advised private equity firms, hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, and pension funds on capital issuances and transactions involving their portfolio companies.

Outside of work, I enjoy investing in early-stage African startups. In my capacity as an angel investor, I support the Mensarius Oath for ethical investing.

I am American by birth and Nigerian by parentage.

During my career, I’ve had the chance to collaborate in different capacities with these great companies.
